About Coniglio Advisors

Coniglio Advisors was created to help small businesses, organizations (community and religious), teams, and families make clearer, more deliberate decisions about AI, cybersecurity, privacy, and technology.

The world’s largest companies have dedicated teams reviewing AI use, vendor claims, data exposure, cybersecurity risk, and compliance concerns. I have worked with such companies for years sharing the best guidance to help them make decisions that impact the safety of their enterprise on a daily basis. Unfortunately, small businesses and community organizations are often expected to figure out these critical decisions on their own, even though the risks are very real for them too. Often times, the requirements are nebulous, the tools are confusing, and the sales pressure is high.

Coniglio Advisors exists to close that gap.

The goal is not to fear-monger or overcomplicate technology. The goal is to provide practical, honest guidance that helps our clients understand what matters, what can wait, and what simple steps can reduce risk quickly. Many technology mistakes are preventable, and not every improvement or remediation requires a large budget.

It’s all in a name

Coniglio comes from my family surname. My family’s story traces back to the late 1800s, when two Sicilian immigrants came to Ellis Island, worked hard, built from little, and believed in creating a better future through persistence, entrepreneurship, and faith.

In Italian, “coniglio” means rabbit: an animal often associated with speed, awareness, caution, and adaptability. Those qualities matter in today’s technology environment. Businesses need to move quickly, but they also need to understand risk, ask better questions, and avoid being led blindly by hype.

That balance — practical movement with careful judgment — is central to Coniglio Advisors.

About The Founder

My name is Cara Conli, and I founded Coniglio Advisors after over a decade in cybersecurity and technology, and years of additional experience across legal operations, privacy, compliance, enterprise technology, product management, customer education, and AI.

My career has taken me through legal, compliance, IT, cybersecurity, sales, product, engineering, and customer experience environments. I have worked with major enterprises, big government agencies, and complex organizations where technology decisions are supported by massive teams of highly-paid experts. I have also seen firsthand how easily smaller organizations can be left without clear, practical guidance and I knew I had to do something about it.

At the core, my passion is helping people, in technology and otherwise. I do not like seeing people overwhelmed, misled, or taken advantage of, especially when better information would have helped them make a stronger decision.

Coniglio Advisors was created so I could bring that experience to the people and organizations that need it most: small businesses, teams, families, religious organizations, and community institutions just trying to understand AI, cybersecurity, privacy, and vendor risk without unnecessary fear, jargon, or a sales script. It is my mission to share the knowledge I have acquired over the years to help those who would not generally have access to it.

My approach is straightforward: understand the challenge, break down the issue with you clearly, identify practical next steps, and help you build enough knowledge to make better decisions for your organization or family. Think of Coniglio Advisors as your personal copilot for navigating seemingly complex technology decisions with the confidence and clarity typically reserved for larger enterprises.
